Jerry, in addition to all the good advice on making sure the poly finish is smooth and cured before buffing, I would also highly suggest using some...

  4. Thanks Steve. That means a lot to me. Yep 63 today. Trying to get over a bronchial infection. The Doc says could have been caused by sanding dust and looks like I may have had it for awhile. Glad I got the 3M now. As I wore the Trend all the time so if that is so it didn't do a very good job. Much more comfortable and I haven't smell any wood dust yet. Anyway hopefully will get some shop time and do some turning today. Thanks again Steve.

    Hi Bernie,

I received the package today...wow, fast deivery! Along with the package I also received a copy of "The Goodland Star-News" where I was very sorry to see that The Lady Cowgirls lost to the Oberlin Lady Red Devils in overtime (looking for the smilie face here)!!! Anyway, it was very well packaged, and arrived unharmed. Now I just have to read how to use this. Doesn't look too complicated. Thank you very much, and have a great week,

    Ray
  8. Ray those parts would probably not work with the holdfast. You have everything you need. You should be good to go.

    Hi Bernie,
I was just reading a thread in the turners forum, and Steve Schlumpf referenced this web site(http://www.jtturningtools.com/node/7). Would the hand wheel, vacuum adaptor, or anything else here be beneficial to the Hold Fast system? Just trying to be ready, and looking forward to using this.
    Thanks, Ray
  10. I am doing pretty well Eddie. 291 days to go. Yea probably going to go in December of this year. Kinda getting tired of the politics. I would like to get into production bowl turning when I get retired. See where it takes me. I have a lot of turnings at the Carnagie Arts Gallery. Sold over $1400 worth over Christmas. Good to hear from you my friend.
