  1. Hi Brian, I'm glad to help as much as I can. You can try timing all the posts. You'll have to be careful when tightening them so they din't turn, and be sure t get them plenty tight or they could rotate after the machine is in use.
I assume when the posts are tightened up you'll place the carriage on top and turn the "nuts" on the posts to get the threads engaged. You could measure from the carriage to the bed to make sure all four corners are level to each other. You'd have to measure at each corner and compare the measurements.
If you need any other help don't hesitate to ping me.

Jerry, thanks for your help with my dewalt planer. May I ask another ? I got 3 of the 4 posts loose. Can't break the 4th loose. Can I line up flats and thread of the 3 to the fixed one? Flat with thin/beginning cut of thread faces towards bed are at about 2 o clock looking down on the fixed post. I assume all 4 posts should have the same orientation towards the bed? Thanks again for your help. Brian

    Hello Jerry,

I have a note you tried to send me a message but my box was full.. Please email me instead... that works much better. I'm new to Green Bay and need some sources for wood...

Who do you use? What part of town do you live in? I'm in Astor Park near the two hospitals at Webster and Mason St.

    Thanks
    Joe
