Biography:

Hi, I am new to this forum, actually I have never joined a forum until today. I have been working with Wood on and off for 20 years. I have built traditional Birch skis and poles, toboggans, carved spoons and bowls. I make tools from bone stone and wood. I have crafted a traditional Scandinavian style half dovetail log cabin without the use of any power tools, only handtools. My wife and I have crafted a timber frame addition to our home together. Right now it is just bones and a roof. I have done everything with handtools in the past, but three years ago we had a child, and my wife once the addition finished, so I have recently acquired power tools. Scared the daylights out of me, but they are fast and effective. we live a mile and a quarter from a road, with our nearest neighbor 6 miles away. We have no electricity or running water, and want to keep it that way. We have acquired a generator to power the tools, and use it only for that. Looking to learn from others, share what I know, and get some questions answered.
