I just got back on this forum after several years. Was checking to see if you are still are around?
I retired from my job at the school district and bought a new lathe. The Myrtlewood I got from you mad alot a beautiful stuff.

I am doing ok. Not a lot of wood turning. Been a very busy last year. Father in law died after a very long illness, Youngest daughter got married. Still lives at home so house got smaller. Chasing the youngest son to all of his sports. Baberuth Baseball now. the Football starts in july. Hope all is well with you and the family. I did get a piece of japaneses cedar from the tree across the street. God Bless Steve

To much. I have not been in the shop for a while. Son in football takes a lot of time. Oldest daughter has lupus. She had a scare last week. They tought she was having a stroke at work. We took her to the hospital and they did some tests. No stroke but they said they lupus has spread to her brain. We had a doc visit scheduled for friday, but the doc in eugene wanted to move it to thursday. Went to eugene on thursday and had life turned upside down. He told us it is now a life threating disease. He put her in the hospital. Did a lumbar puncture. That was ok. He then gave her chemo. We go tommorrow to see how this is progressing. She had her 26th birthday yesterday. She has a good outlook on this. Dad & mom are struggling but we have to trust god on this. Hope all is well with your family. Steve

Here a little while back I bought some myrtlewood from American Western Exotic Hardwoods in Bandon. Dave Leister
He has a huge selection of different woods and I didn't have the time, last time to go through all that he had. So I want to go down there again and spend some serious time going through his wood supply.
Are there any other good, reasonably priced places down there to buy myrtlewood?

I live in Coos Bay. I also work on hiway 101 on the way to Bandon. What kind of myrtlewwod are you looking for. Bowl blanks, flat stock? Steve
