Regarding plane restoration - what better to practice on than a plane without cash value?

I took Paul Sellers' class, and there are lots of cheap planes that work beautifully.
I use a granite cut out from a local countertop maker, wet/dry sandoaper and patience.

Most important are the fixture holding the blade and cap iron square to the sole.
