I've been woodworking for over 45 years and while I have done many commissioned pieces I currently work for my number one client only (my wife!). I have a degree in mechanical engineering and my day job is plant utilities for a pharmaceutical company.
I am just putting the finishing touches on my fourth wood shop after moving a few years ago. Each one seems to get a little bigger and I'm up to a bit over 500 sq ft now.
Favorite tool at the moment: my Powermatic 22/44 drum sander, what a time saver!
Most challenging project: A cherry sleigh bed with curved laminated panels and a 16/4 crest rail shaped with a router and hand scrapers.
Latest build: a Greene & Greene Thorsen inspired dining table in Sapele.
Next project in the queue: a set of twelve Greene & Greene style dining chairs.
