About Randy Chesnut
- Biography:
- I trained in medicine, Neurosurgery, and Neuro Intensive Care in Seattle (UW) and San Diego (UCSD) and have been on staff at trauma centres in CA, OR, and now WA. Currently, I am a Professor of Neurological Surgery, Orthopaedics/Rehabilitation, and Global Health, and manage the Neurotrauma Service at one of the busiest trauma centres in the US. In terms of woodworking, I am reasonably new to it but totally addicted. I work almost exclusively with hand tools, preferring lacerations to amputations (job and all.....). I now sometimes sharped my own surgical instruments since my new appreciation of sharpness has revealed how dull "sharpened" surgical instruments often are.
