About Greg Quenneville
Biography:
I started learning about the world of tools and materials from my Dad who did everything himself. My brother and I were his helpers, forklift, backhoe etc. But we learned how to repair cars, perform basic steam fitting, industrial electrical and plumbing. We learned home building and woodworking on some very basic (and frightening) equipment.

That was in Windsor, Ontario. I later lived in Southern California, elsewhere in Canada, Ireland, and here in Australia. Oh yeah, and in Taiwan.

I have continued woodworking all throughout my flying career, at least whenever I had a permanent home. I gradually moved from a massive hand tool collection and no power tools to a more typical hobby shop now with an older Felder BF6-31 combination machine and a 24” bandsaw and the usual hand and power tools.

In 2016 my wife and I started to build our current home, and its almost finished six years later. My woodworking skills had to be amped up to make the 25 period doors, frame and panelled library and staircase, casings etc…

Since Australia has no mandatory domestic pilot retirement age I still fly for the same major airline that I joined 33 years ago. We live on the Gold Coast, Australia
Interests:
