About Dave Kirby
- Biography:
- Been interested in Woodworking my whole life. I come from a long line of carpenters/woodworkers in my family. For some time I have specialized mainly in cabinetmaking and trim work (mostly on the side and in my own time) but I'm hoping to expand my skills into furniture making, signmaking and possibly even branch out into my own woodworking business down the road if I can. The way I see it, you can't have too many skills in your repertoire the same way as you can never have too many tools! Here is a list of tools I currently own and have in my shop:
16" floor standing drill press
Router table with a PC 5202EHD 15amp, 22,000rpm beast that lives beneath.
Craftsman 10" Table saw
Bosch 5312 12" sliding compound miter saw
PC model 690 "D" handle portable router and also a portable PC plunge router (I believe model 7529)
DeWalt 735 Thickness Planer
18ga brad nailer
23ga pin nailer
Bosch barrel grip jigsaw
Rockwell 9.5 inch miter 'chopsaw' (an old soldier but still a great saw!)
...and the list keeps growing slowly all the time...especially with regard to adding more hand tools to my collection...Stay tuned! :)
