Thats good. My way is slower but it works fine. With the beams 8" wide you do the 12 foot length then do the other side and I have three beams.

2 or 3 minutes for 1" wide banding according to the website. They typically put 1/4" banding on veneer blanks and the throughput keeps one man

I just use 2 x 8 x 12 foot maple beams lay edges on that then parts on that and bar clamps. Lipping planers worked great for me. Did tons of solid.
