Looking for a new project to do. I've been spending a few months upgrading the workshop / fixing minor annoyances, and really need to actually build something. I ran across this in a magazine ad. The furniture is supposedly solid teak, though I don't think that will be in the cards for...
Last Post By: Alan Lightstone Today, 8:21 AMI'm a hobbyist on a limited budget looking for a bandsaw, primarily for resawing. Let's say, 12" of 8/4 hard maple cut down the middle would be the maximum I would ever ask of it. I'm under the impression that I'll need a steel framed bandsaw for that. What else do I need to know? Are guides...
Last Post By: John Kananis Yesterday, 5:56 PMThis morning I plugged in a small electric heater for the bathroom. No sign of life, figured it was either the heater or outlet. I turned off the circuit breaker (after I found it, panel is poorly labeled), removed the outlet and began poking around with a meter. Black to white was 0 volts, I was...

Alan Lightstone Today, 8:29 AMI just started "The Wager" by David Grann. I am enjoying it. Life and death on the high seas! (as experenced from a warm, dry, comfortable chair).
Maurice Mcmurry Today, 8:28 AMI'm coming to that realization. This bending stuff - not easy to do.
My next test will be with two 3" straps and clamps. Then I'll
Definitely. Nice find, Warren.
I wonder if Steinway can do my chairs for me...
