I think I'm finally going to pull the trigger on an 8" jointer. I don't have one right now and I'm tired of having to planer sled/table saw sled for jointing and not getting perfect cuts on those anyways. Prices are all over the place between brands. I'm wanting helical and probably...
Last Post By: Phillip Mitchell Today, 4:16 PMHi All! My 30w fiber laser stopped firing when it was about 1/3 thru engraving an aluminum bracelet. Can anyone give some advice? I'm using ezcad2 14.9. Are there any fuses inside the Laser box? Can anyone also tell me if a dialog box opens with a Agree/Disagree dialog box when you start...
Last Post By: Kev Williams Today, 3:04 PMI mentioned in my shop build thread that a new DC system was needed once I move in. Despite that being a few months away, I took advantage of a sale on the G700 and it arrived on Thursday. (I will say that for anyone interested in this machine...bide your time and watch for the $2499 sale price. I...
Last Post By: Steve Rozmiarek Today, 2:49 PMMy PC 23 ga pin nailer uses up to 1" long pins. I use it quite a bit. So far, I haven't run across anything I'd use it on where I'd prefer it had the ability to shoot a 2" pin. What am I missing?

Jerome Stanek Today, 4:34 PMWas looking at one of my regular search notifications (Stanley #4) even though two have been acquired recently. Just looking can be fun.
Yeah, I have done that as well...just kinda depends on the board. You have to be mindful to keep the convex from rocking on the outfeed side obviously,
Phillip Mitchell Today, 4:16 PMThere's no substitute for paying attention, but I normally run the convex edge down on a crooked board and the convex face on a bowed one.
There are times where a deep cut especially edge jointing a crooked board that is significantly longer than the outfeed table is the way to get the job
