Cliff, good idea. If I had one, I'd have used it. One thing the oscillating tool does provide is a flat sanding surface, which helps around the fingers.
Derek Arita Today, 1:03 PMI used 8/4 Hickory and it has absolutely no flex. 12/4 might be necessary if you're using pine but for most hardwoods it's pretty overkill.
