Is Santa bringing turning tools of any sort, lathes, or lathe accessories for Christmas? If so, what are you expecting that is turning related for Christmas 2021?
I’m contemplating another chuck, and maybe a bottom feeder gouge.
Just ordered a new Oneway Wolverine Sharpening system. I have the Rikon 1 hp 8" grinder in addition to my regular grinder, and the Wolverine system I have is 16 years old, so thought I'd get a new one, and put the Rikon grinder in service. I got the Wolverine setup on sale from The Woodtuurning Store. I also ordered a couple of CBN wheels in 180 and 600 grit for the new setup from Ken Rizza. I fugured I had been using my current setup for over a decade, so a full compliment of grits might be a good thing. 600 grit especially to prolong the life of my gouges.
Yes, I finally got a thin parting tool....., Acks paste wax kit and two new bandsaw blades. I HOPE to be a better turner in the new year, open to about anything turning related like bowls, boxes, candle holders. Roger, let me know on the bottom feeder gouge I really need one myself. I got to feed the woodturning slot machine more money, I am one tool away from being great and hitting the jackpot.
When I find the right one, I will, Mark…..keep on aiming high!
I got an inertia sander, long handled, from woodturner's Wonders, and several jars of gilding creams.
Forgot to mention, new headband for one of my Trend Airshield Pro units. I use the Sundstrum SR500 with 570 helmet most of the time, but do also use the Trend AS-Pro also. My headband broke a few months ago.......finally found them at Craft Supplies USA.
