Spindle adapters?

A while back I bought a PSI spindle adapter so I could use my Talon chuck on my G0766. The run out on the adapter is terrible but I guess that's to be expected for the price. I get a little vibration at certain ranges.

Has anyone found any of these adapters that are made any better? I was looking and saw Nova and Easytools makes one but thought I would see if any of you have found ones made turer.

    Thanks,

I use 1" chucks on my G0766 using an adapter. I bought it from Grizzly. They sell two - - one for around $10 or $15 and a second one for around $35. I bought the cheap one. Although I have NOT put a dial indicator on it, I can detect no discernible run out.

One of the benefits of the adapter (and could be a draw back if you have runout) is that it allows you better access to a bowl or platter from the headstock end.

I did drill a roughly 10 mm hole through it so that I could use my vacuum set up that runs a 3/8" tube through the spindle.
