I just did a quick scan back to the first of the year and never found an answer. Does the bed extension for the G0838 (T28372) fit the G0766? There was someone going to try to measure and see, but... I'm considering getting a bed extension for my Nova and the DW asked what about her lathe... I recall the guy that built the bed extension out of birch-ply, but that's not what I'm interested in
Ralph, that bed extension looks like the one Busy Bee in Canada has sold for years for its Craftex CX802 lathe (same as the early version of the Grizzly G0733). https://www.busybeetools.com/search?q=cx802 I've had the Busy Bee extension on my 2012 G0733 for six years Yes, it would also bolt up to my 2015 G0766 if I were to do it, which has the same hole patterns in the legs. Unless Grizzly changed the patterns when it shortened the legs slightly on the G0766 (unlikely, I think), it would still fit. However, I would not recommend it. The Busy Bee extension, banjo, and tool rest post assembly are not very robust. If the Grizzly extension is in fact the same product, I would not be comfortable using it with the larger lathe. I notice that Grizzly only markets its version of that extension for use on the 16" G0838. Maybe that's why.
