    Hello Guys,
I joined the forum last week (15th) so just learning my way around. I am the current President of the Pueblo Woodturners Club in Pueblo, CO. I thought I would join in here to find out what this group is doing. I noticed something about buying wood. Can you fill me in? I do woodturnings mainly with exotic woods and have quite a bit of extra material but don't ask me to list it - too much stuff! I have been saving cut-offs that could be used for pen blanks, bottle stoppers, light pulls, etc. I have Cocobolo, Zebrawood, Ziricote, Bocote, Kingwood, Limba, Australian burls, Osage Orange and many others. I have spalted woods coming out my ears.

I realize that it's a little late in responding to your posting, but I just joined this group (1/2010). I'm currently an officer in the Colorado Woodworkers Guild which meets at Rocklers in Denver on the 3rd Tuesdays of the month. We work with many of the local wood oriented stores here (e.g. Rocklers, WoodCraft, Paxton Woods, Centennial lumber, etc.) and they give our members discounts. I realize that Denver is a little far from Pueblo, but you might consider trying to get a program like this going in your group. Do you visit CSWoods very often? I know that they are relatively close to you since they are in Gardener. Our guild has organized caravans down to CSWoods a couple of times and have come back with some amazing woods.
Talk to you later and hope we can get this Sawmill group going!
