    Hi Everyone...

Let me preface this by saying I'm new to laser cutting, have received no training on it yet because I purchased used, I'm somewhat familiar with Corel but mostly used ver. 9 and prior until now.

I'm trying to make test cuts and having issues with files not working once they get to job control.

Are there specific settings which must be made in Corel X5 and or in Job Control (9.4.2.7) in order to insure what is being printed from Corel actually opens and runs correctly in job control?

I'm getting a lot of "no data" or scrambled images of letters when trying to get practice jobs onto the plate. Sometimes the file will be visible when I click the job preview but it won't move to the plate when double clicking or dragging it there. Sometimes the files have nothing visible when I click job preview. I have checked the WYSIWYG setting and that doesn't change the file problem.

Occasionally I do get a working file and I can't determine why it works and the others don't.

On another issue, what is the procedure to insure when cutting, that the centers of letters such as A,B, D, etc, get cut first
so that the letter does not move before the center gets cut? Is there a way to define the cut sequence? Signlab has this feature built into their router module but I'm not using that software with this laser. You just right click on the object or letter, and select "start sequence" and continue clicking on objects in the order that you want them cut. By default it cuts the centers of letters first if they are combined where the inside and outside of the letter is considered one object or path.

Any help with these issues would be greatly appreciated!
