Guys….my heart is truly warmed by your comments! I have not met many of the GGMG members in person, but consider them friends. I have met David Roseman in person. He’s a fine example of what is best about humans, and woodturners in particular. For every well wish, every prayer, I want to say my sincerest thank you! Blessings to all!
I'm still turning, there just doesn't seem to be a lot of activity on here so I kind of forget about it. I've never gotten a photo box made yet so I haven't posted any pictures. Plus you have to use a photo hosting site don't you?
No hosting site needed. My pics are all stored on my laptop. I do use a software program to edit size of pics, and lighting, etc. I use Faststone Image viewer, and like it. Works well, and one can download it for free. A lot of folks use PhotoShop as well.
Mine are stored on my computer too when I download them. When I use the insert image button it brings up a box wanting a "url" to put in. So far I haven't found one of those associated with my files on my computer. If it was in an image hosting site it probably would work. I tried using the "url" from the cloud but it was too many characters long and it wouldn't accept it either. This is another try here>>>>> That didn't work either. Kind of thought it might. Created a link to the file on my computer. Didn't work.
Hi Roger, et all, I'm a seasonal woodworker and now that winter is approaching, it's becoming the woodworking season again! No more grass to mow or hedges to trim! I'm looking forward to spinning up the 0766 and make some sawdust. Prayers are with you Roger and your recovery! Patrick
Most grateful Patrick! Get that 0766 good and warmmed up, and post a couple pics when you can!
I'm still turning. Albeit not as often as I'd like. Work and other life responsibilities getting in the way. Also, I don't have much to add here that would be of real interest. I've turned bowls, ornaments, scoops, boxes, and hollow forms. They are all OK, but nothing outstanding enough to post. My lathe has been rock solid. No issues. No new modifications. I would like to wire in a remote box, but time and inclination haven't been sync'd to do that. I did just make two threaded wooden glue blocks using my Beall threader. Those might be of interest. I'll post once I can get out there to take photos. I hope you fully recover from your cancer, Roger. Scary to hear that diagnosis; I'm sure.
Thanks Tom!
