Hey Mike, Welcome and thanks for kicking it off. This post will only show up in our group. I have made it private just so we can be a bit more open. I will follow up with my bio. Name: Mike Konobeck Location: Blaine, MN (CRDM Employee) Woodworking experience: About 3 years Favorite Wood: Hard Maple Latest Project: Dining room table. Not done yet but still working on it. I have a slab of waterfall bubinga that I have flat but am waiting for my scraper plane to come to smooth. The base will be Stickley in style. Should be done in a couple months. Next....
Name: Bob Stolarski Location: Tempe, AZ (MTC Employee) Woodworking experience: small stuff since I was knee high to a grasshopper in my dad's shop, 1st tool was a Craftsman lathe from my grandfathers workshop when I was 16. Did not do much out of high school until 10 years ago when a few of us started taking woodworking classes at the local high school and started using it as our shop until we could outfit our own shops. I now have a 19' X 19' air conditioned (great in the summer) shop in the back yard and expanded into one of the bays of the garage. Favorite Wood: had an affair with mahogany for a while but will cut almost anything now. My favorite right now is what ever is in my woodpile. Latest Project: -helping the neighborhood handyman with projects where he needs my skills -fixing a friends dining room table and chair -lazy Susans -white board repairs -teaching grandaughter to turn pens on lathe -planning a trip to Atlanta for the 2010 IWF show
