    Harold,
I have the 3/4" top pieces: 3", and the two off center arms. I have the small box rest too. I use them all and like them all. Some don't like the big round rests, but I'm fine with them. I use the offsets inside of bowls and open vases but I'd love to have some robust curved rests. Someday maybe.

I am going to order me a 9 inch Best Wood or Nova to hold me until the Robust are available. The folks at Robust didn't sound like they were in any hurry to take chances with the pandemic. I can't blame them.

    Tom,

Thanks for the info. I ordered a couple different sizes and they are on the way. They were inexpensive so if I don't like them I can do the robust later on but I'll bet they will be just fine.

They shipped today and will be here next week.

For my G0766, I purchased the Nova 1 x 8 Tool Rest Post and the 6 inch Toolrest through Amazon. I had to cut the 8 inch post to get the correct hight when combined with the toolrest but I just chucked it in the lathe and cut on slow speed with a hacksaw.

    Hello Robin,

I had the Nova post and tool rest ordered but cancelled it when Tom told me about the Best Woods tool rest.

I got them Monday and I love them. They are the round rod type and I really like the control you have with them better than a standard tool rest.

I also ordered the Shop Fox bowl tool rest from Grizzly. It's ok but I need to try it some more before I really know how it works.

I do plan on buying the box tool rest and a couple rest from Best Woods. If you haven't ever used a round bar tool rest you need to give it a try. Really smooth.

    Harold
