Hello all. Love the Sawmill Creek site. Learning good stuff all the time. Just starting to get into real woodworking. Worked as carpenter for family business as I was growing up. I am a PM for large construction company in Kalamazoo. Open to any suggestions and advice you more experienced people may have. Or even advice from rookies like myself on what NOT to do!!

Just found groups this morning, poking around with the second pot of coffee on the way. I have to get up at 3:40 am during the week, so I do on the weekends too otherwise Monday is hell. Most of that time on the weekends is spent on different forums and various reading and writing. I am in White Pigeon MI is my street address, I live closer to COnstantine and have a PO box there. THe two towns are about 3 miles apart, I live 3 miles west of Constantine. I have a fairly massive tool collection, mostly junk. My favorite power tool is my old 3 phase PM 66 with inverter, my favorite hand tool is my Bedrock 604-1/2.

I think we should plan a get-together for next spring, maybe June, I can host if there are not too many people, can host at my in-laws 16 acre spread if there are more people.

Hi all I am from Crystal Falls, MI. I am retired and moved to MI in 2005 when I built my own home (my own general Contractor). I enjoy making furniture, game calls, gun and fishing rod racks, and anything to do with wood turning. I also like to fish and hunt. My only complain about the UP is that you need to travel 2.5 hours to get to a wood working store. I guess that is the price you pay for peace and quiet.
