I just uploaded some pictures from my first segmented turning. I read through Malcolm Tibbetts' book on segmented wood turning and really liked the miter saw jig. This bowl is very basic and is made from ash, black walnut and wood from a large tree that fell during a hurricane several years ago. I'm new to wood turning but really enjoyed the process of gluing up the rings over a couple evenings during the week and watching the entire bowl come together. I think I'll make another...

Very nice bowl there David! Especially for your first segmented. I have not done any segmented as of yet..........time limitations, but plan to in the future. Your shop looks to have a good bit of Grizzly green in it, and they look like good tools.

    Is your lathe the G0698?

David, I see you already stated on the other discussion that you do have the G0698. Nice lathe isn't it! Again, nice work here!
