I am trying to decide whether to purchase the Grizzly G0457 or the Powermatic PWBS-14CS 14 inch bandsaw. Does anyone have a recommendation?
get the grizzly it works really good!
I would see what guides they give you with purchase. An upgrade on my old machine would be to a set of bearing type. My buddy gave me a hitachi cb75 to sell for him, and the guy that bought it traded a newer 14" powermatic and cash. I tuned it up for his son, and everything looked good. I imagine both grizzly and powermatic are made in Taiwan now, so if the money's not far apart I would go with the powermatic. If you can go somewhere to put your hands on the machines would be helpful
