Resale price of G0766 - - your advice

My wife and I are in the process of downsizing. So, I'm seriously thinning out my workshop.

One of the next items to move out is my G0766. I'm interested is getting feedback from people on this forum as to what price I should ask. I'll probably advertise on Craigslist and with a local woodturning club (San Diego Woodturners Club - - 250 members).

I'll be selling it with a faceplate, two banjos, but not much else. I'm keeping my chucks and chisels because where we're moving, they have a nice woodshop with a nice Jet lathe.

I'm not willing to advertise this for sale for months hoping for the highest offer. I really need for it to leave more quickly.

    What price should I ask?

I’m thinking $1200 would be a fair price for a well taken care of G0766.

Hi Brice. I'm sure your G0766 is well cared for. I'm thinking $1,900 would be a very fair asking price. A new one today would be nearly $3,300 after shipping. And that's before any applicable retail sales tax.

I could see $1700- $1900. Of course I would want to know the bearings, potentiometer and switches were all working perfectly. Nice to see some activity on the GGMG!
