    I like getting tools into the hands of people who will USE them.

    I use the convex bevel on my bench chisels and plane irons.
    It works on my oilstones, and diamond plate.

    It digs a trough in my cheapo waterstones, which I now reserve for Japanese irons - prior to finish planning on "show" faces.

  3. Jim from Westport, MA here. I had a discussion wit a tall, moostachio'd individual intimately familiar with LN products who must remain namelesse. Let's call him 'Tom'. His retelling of the story is less politic. The suits at Woodcraft pressured LN on price and showed Taiwanese protoypes that had clearly been cast from LN originals, they still had the brand imprinted.

    It as a betrayal, no more, no less.
