  1. Dan, I read your reply to my post. I'm not sure that it matters why our students are not competitive in math and science, but rather that they are substandard to the rest of the worlds developed nations. Are we no longer prepared to pay the price of excellence? I think our students should spend more time in school and acheive more. China is now graduating eight times as many engineers as the US. Does that bode well for our future?
