Hey Dan, Happy new year.. Good to here that your wife is doing well.. I have two LV marking gauges one of the older type i bought around 2002 and one much newer.. I like the new model much better than the older gauge, although they both look rather anemic compared to the Glen-Drake gauge.. No problem always glad to tey to help out someone anyway i can..
Hey Bob Saw you post on the marking gauge and thought I would say hello. Funny thing, I just bought the basic LV gauge. I like it so far and it seems to do everything I ask it to do. I have lots and lots of carving tools I would love to own. It seems like you just have to narrow some things down?? Working my second LB desk and I'm at the 60-70 percent point. I am stalled on face wood(veneer) for the desk drawer fronts. Finding a long crotch line to resaw and veneer to the fronts of the drawers is proving to be.. a challenge. I'm not in a rush with this one .. it has nobody waiting on delivery. I have 6 windsor bowbacks on order so they are the priority. My wife is doing very well now so I'm trying to get back in the groove. Bob I wanted to thank you again for your help along the way.
