FYI - The Emmert will be more than adequate for 75% of your work holding, including cutting dovetails. I tried mine end mounted and found it best where you have your leg vise placed. Hanging off the end, i was forever getting hung up on it when passing by. An Emmert and a fistfull of holdfasts covers all my joinery.
