  2. Well Joe I can tell you that if you were hanging around here with me about all you'd learn is what not to do. I havn't been doing this woodworking stuff for very long. Would you happen to remember the persons name that you bought your lathe from? I had a neighbor that was a well respected member here on the Creek. Only wish I was interested in woodworking before he passed away. There was a fellow you could haave learned alot from.

  4. Hi Joe

I havn't been ignoring you...I just noticed the visitor message you sent a week ago. I havn't built any big projects like furniture so alot of my material comes from the BORG. But I picked up some information at one of the home shows in Green Bay about a place called Schmidt Lumber.

They're located in Shawano which isn't too far West on Hwy. 29. They seemed like friendly folks and said they even have some inventory for small projects. You can reach them at 1-800-462-7440 or www.schmidtlumber.com.

Otherwise I'd just keep an eye open on CraigsList in the materials section, although you'll probably find only rough lumber there.

As for my location, I'm in Peshtigo which is about 45 minutes north on Hwy 41.

    Good Luck
    Jerry
  5. Hello Jerry,

I have a note you tried to send me a message but my box was full.. Please email me instead... that works much better. I'm new to Green Bay and need some sources for wood...

Who do you use? What part of town do you live in? I'm in Astor Park near the two hospitals at Webster and Mason St.

    Thanks
    Joe
