I believe it to be fir due to the sharp dry never ending supply of splinters I encountered.
These were full length boards-no scabbing.
I tried to buy some Vicmarc chucks but everyone was out. I ended up purchasing two Axminster Evolution SK114 chucks. I am amazed at their quality.
