What 8" jointer would you get and why?

    Thread Starter: Alden Peterson

I think I'm finally going to pull the trigger on an 8" jointer. I don't have one right now and I'm tired of having to planer sled/table saw sled for jointing and not getting perfect cuts on those anyways. Prices are all over the place between brands. I'm wanting helical and probably...

Using a ground as a neutral

    Thread Starter: Wade Lippman

The VFD on my 120v Jet 1642 lathe burnt up and I would like to replace it with a 240v VFD. Selecting CBN wheel.

    Thread Starter: Roger Davis TN

I want to buy one CBN wheel. I will use my other white aluminum oxide grinding wheels: a 120-grit wheel and a 60-grit wheel for shaping for now. I think I like the 1.5 inch wide and 220 grit CBN. Does anyone think this will be a good plan? Also, how do steel CBN wheels compare to aluminum wheels...

30w Fiber Laser Not Firing Help Please!

    Thread Starter: Nick Marchesani

Hi All! My 30w fiber laser stopped firing when it was about 1/3 thru engraving an aluminum bracelet. Can anyone give some advice? I'm using ezcad2 14.9. Are there any fuses inside the Laser box? Can anyone also tell me if a dialog box opens with a Agree/Disagree dialog box when you start...

    Fabulous, thanks for posting.

Maybe one day, I'll get brave enough to attempt to build something of this caliber.

I see this SB planer is now $800 less expensive. Not on sale and just new everyday price. It was $5400.

My Version of Christian Becksvoort's Dovetail Bench

That is quite the bench on your bench, Phil. Do you have a crane to move that off the bench? Curious how much it weighs.
    Nice work on building it,
