Well here we go boys and girls. I have decided to take the plunge and build my own CNC Router. Bare with me through the coming months as I post my successes and my failures here.

My plans are to adapt the best features from the 3 existing machines that we have in our shop to custom build a small CNC Router to cut custom small pieces in wood and plastic.

  4. Worktables

Several years ago I purchased a used workbench at a high school auction. Many schools shut down their industrial arts departments and sold off the equipment. Most of the equipmetn is big and 220V. But, I got a 5.5' x 4.75' two inch thick maple work bench with two sliding vises for $250. So, if you are looking for a shop table (or large machines) check the classifieds for school auctions.
