View Full Version : Bradford Pear Hollow Form from Hurricane Rita

This one made a brief appearence sometime back before it was finished, it is 10 1/2" X 11" with some great figure in both the heart wood and sap wood. I'm not real good at finials yet but I'll get there. Sanded to 600 grit then buffed and finished with 8 coats of Antique Oil and buffed again. It is about 1/4 " thick.:)

Wow Chris - that sure is some amazing wood! I like the non-traditional form and the finish! Finials are my downfall - so far! Like you, I will figure out how to get better! Nice work!

Beautiful again Chris. Finial looks good and is well proportioned. Like the form on the vase.

Christopher, that Bradford pear has a lot of wonderful "action" in it. Nice!

Thanks Everyone, it is great ot be back. I just love turning bradford pear, it is like turning butter it is so smooth.:)
