hello , i wanted to be a little gentle on my chisel handle, so i decided to build these 2 little brass hammer made from 1 " 1/2 x 6" brass head and one cherry handle plus a jatoba one they are well balance and work great, easy to build and a good afternoon project.

Welcome to the Creek. Looks like you may have some metal working tools too unless you chucked the brass up in a wood lathe. Great work.
I have a brass head hammer but it isn't pretty like yours. It weighs at least 5 pounds and is used for serious dead weight hammering on things that I don't want to mark. Both ends on the brass are curled back from years of use and abuse. The handle is made from 1/2 " water pipe.

little correction: mallet are 1 1/2 x 3 by 9" tall
