I normally stay to the Laser Engraver's forum here, but I figured this article would interest the woodcarving gurus. They're dubbing it "liquid wood", but it's essentially pellets made from lignen (which is a throwaway of the paper pulp industry). These pellets can be melted just like plastic and injected into molds, with the major difference being it can be recycled afterwards (i.e., burned). They say it holds detail as well as any plastic, and to prove it they're casting children's figurines out of it. Engraving properties are supposed to be quite high, too.
