Hello Everybody! (Hello Dr. Nick!)

I'm drawing up some plans to make a box to hold all of my wife's art supplies, and the design I came up with ends up mirroring a toolbox that my dad has (which was my grandfathers). It's an old machinists toolbox. It has a front panel that hides all the drawers, and then lays down out of the way. The front is held in place by 2 spring loaded plungers/pins that when the lid of the box is depressed, pushes some pins down through the frame to hold the front in place. I've been looking around trying to find that hardware, but can't. I think I can fab something up using various bits from Mcmaster, but I'm wondering if anyone has seen these pins, or has a better name for em. Here's an example of a similar toolbox if my description isn't clear. You can barely see the pins sticking up from the top-front edge.
