I have a few cherry burls and was thinking of the best way of using them and I came up with these. They are 6,7, and 8 inches and finished with spray poly but have not been buffed. I thought by making these about a half inch thick I could get many pieces out of one burl instead of blowing up a bowl or hollow form.

Thanks for looking and critiques are welcome.

Merry Christmas!

Holy cow that's some pretty wood! By 'biscuits' do you mean something like coasters? What every they are you sure made good use of some spectacular wood.

Naw, I just meant small platters. I am not sure of the design I want to go with but I want to make the wood the focus.

I recently came into some cherry burl, but alas it will all be pens. Those in addition to thier beauty should be pretty stable since burls generaly have no specific grain orientation.. nice work. :D:D

If I had them, I would turn them into natural edge nested bowl sets or hollow forms.
