Hey Folks,

I'm working on some wood art projects for which I'd like to have some templates made from either 1/2 or 3/4 MDF. These templates will be used as guide templates for an overarm router. The pin in the table will ride against the templates.

Maximum size of the MDF would be appx. 36" in the longest direction. Most pieces the maximum size would be 24".

The templates would be very simple. Imagine a piece of MDF, say 24" X 18". I would want a series of curved grooves/dados cut about 3/8 inche deep and 1/4 inch wide.

If I furnish an actual size drawing of what I want will someone with a CNC machine be able to take my drawing and make these templates that I want? I don't know how to make the drawings on a computer program. I do know how to make them on paper or on the MDF itself.

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks for your time.
