While I'm at it a couple of spalted Maple bowls

I got this Rock Maple from my youngest son's place, we had to take it down as it was leaning over his power and phone and cable lines, one piece had already come down and almost took his power stack down.
Anyway after we had it down it looked like there was some nice spalting in the one piece and so I cut a piece off and took it home with me.
As I was doing the finishing of the other pieces I did these also, and a few more :eek: :D.
They are only 6½" but they have some nice spalting in them :)

Very nice bowls Leo! Love anything spalted as you can get some really wild designs! Really like the rich colors in these bowls! The wood looks nice and solid - no punky areas to the tree? Hope you have a lot more of this wood - it's beautiful!

Hi Steve, thanks for the response :D, Steve this and a few more small pieces is about all I have from that wood, and yes there was some rotten wood, so when I found the harder solid part with the spalting showing I cut a chunk of it off, I do think all the rest of the wood has been used for the open hearth to get cozy by ;).
Lots of wood out there, more than I have time to turn it :)
