More black walnut, nothing spectacular going on in the wood, but I think walnut sapwood just looks good. Measures 6 wide 9 high. Sealcoat finish.

Mike - very interesting use of bark! Very nice form, love the colors and the finial/collar is not something you expect to see on bark! Really cool effect! Great finish, wonderful detail work on the finial and again - outstanding photos! Always a pleasure to see your work! Thanks for sharing!

Wow Mike I like that. Hadn't even given a thought to leaving the bark on the top. Beautiful Mike. Finial is great.

Sweet piece,I really like the downward swirl of the sap and brown.
I wish you had a website of all your work. Better yet a studio, open to the public. thanks for sharing, and keep up the great work. keith
