First Birdhouse

After seeing Leo's post and some of the other's with their beautiful birdhouse ornaments I decided to try my hand at one. Here is what I ended up with and another ornament. The birdhouse is only 3" tall made from osage and mahogany. The other ornament is 6" tall made from holly and purple heart.

Nice work on both items Jack! Birdhouses are a lot of fun and last year after I saw Bernie's post on them I decided to turn a few. Turned somewhere around 55 - 60 of them! Gave a few away but still have a bunch! They are fun!

Jack, Nice job one your first ornaments! I have been trying to keep up with making more each day, all the ones I took to the consignment shop are gone and the customers want more! I have some holly and purple heart so I will make one out of them to add to the supply!

Jack the birdhouse and ornament look great. I have probably made over 100 birdhouses and 50 to 75 ornaments the last couple of years. Sold a bunch and given away a bunch. Lots of fun to make and kids love them.
