I finally picked up a jointer, a 6" Delta model 37-190. I really wanted a Grizzly 8", but for $265 off Craig's list, I figured I didn't do too bad. It is 8 years old and basically never used. I am cleaning off the original packing grease. I do have a question in reference to the outfeed table. The manual says to move the outfeed table up or down, I am to loosen the lockscrew and then turn the hand knob. The knob will only move a couple of degrees. I noticed two table gibs on the same backside as the lockscrew. Do I need to loosen those also to free up the table? Any help would be appreciated. I took a couple of pics on my lowest setting. They still turned out to big to upload. Any hints there? Thanks John

Yes Both need to be loosen. I had the same jointer for about 8yrs before upgrading to a 8" a couple of years ago.
