I went to the Denver Woodworking show. There was a gentleman there who was demonstrating a dovetail jig. For the past two years, the same man was demo'ing the Freud three-piece lock miter router bit set. As further identification of the person -- he has a bell and says "for the next five people who come up and ring this bell, ...."

Can anyone tell me whta company he represents and what was the dovetail jig that he was demonstrating? Also, what else were they including in the package.

I am having remorse that I did not buy the set.

Thanks.
Ray

Oh, God!

You must be talking about the guy from Prazi. He's like a circus clown at those shows.

Is this the one?

I really appreciate the information, but no, that was not the one. It is a long one, which comes in a couple of different lenghths. It was about $125.

Anyone going to the show in Nashville who can get the information for me? or who can give them my phone number so that I can see if they will give me the package deal they are offering at the show?

Is this the show you were at? http://cms.thewoodworkingshows.com/cms/Shows/DenverCONov1416/tabid/76/Default.aspx

Maybe the exhibitor list will help.

I looked through there and I just can't remember.

Maybe it was Peachtree, but I am not sure.

Ray: I think the man you are asking about works for Peachtree Woodworking. His name is Mike Deitrich and the jig he represents is similar to the Katie Jig.

OK, that sounds good. Now if anyone is going to the show, or knows exactly what dovetail jig it is ...

Do a search @ the PeachTree site & see if you can find it:

MLCS has a really cheap dovetail jig.

MLCAS also has templates-- approx. U $65-70.00 ?? -- that mounts to a wood block like the Keller & I think it is used like the Katie jig.

IIRC, it was advertised in a recent catalogue or the on-line catalogue.

http://www.mlcswoodworking.com/

If that's not it, call MLCS & PeachTree & explain the what you are looking for. Often times, on-line cartalogues are not current.

OK, I will call tomorrow. Thanks Ray!

I think it is the MLCS through dovetail template. Thanks!

Sommerfeld now sells the Katie Jig. He's at all the shows.

Ray,

I was at the Denver show you refered to and bought one of their jigs. The guy's name is Mike, and if you rang the bell, he threw in the T-channel and clamps. He was selling 2 different sized jigs, the 15" and the 30". Here is their link...

Being a garage woodworker, I need to wait until it warms up a bit before I get a chance to use it.

MLCS has a very similar 12 inch jig to that but only costs $50. Got rated a best value by one of the mags sometime in the last year or so.
