These are some ornaments I made this weekend.
The first one is Cocobolo and Canarywood. It's 7" x 1.75"

Curt, those are absolutely amazing. Please tell me when you started turning and how long it's been since you first started making ornaments like this. They are truly stunning!!! Please tell me when you started turning and how long it's been since you first started making ornaments like this. How long does it take from start to finish to make one?

David, I've made similar ornaments for a couple years but just started making the segmented ones since I stumbled onto a dumpster behind a custom cabinet and door mill that has a never ending supply of wood that's perfect for these ornaments. And I just happen to like doing small spindle work. If you ever watched me hack my way through a bowl or hollowform you'd get a good laugh.
