Can anyone help me find info on an OMEGA WBS-18 bandsaw

Hmm...Google comes up with...zero...documents on that brand/saw.

A search on just the WBS-18 comes up with this (http://www.contecmachinery.com/ArticleShow.asp?ArticleID=280).

Thanks Jim, I've come up zero on all searches. The wbs-18 is the model number. It' a Taiwanese saw that followed me home the other day and I was just trying to find a manual. Just thought someone else out there had one.

Phillip, please post a picture of your saw...it is likely that there are other similar machines with different name-plates on them. That could net you a usable manual.

That's not a bad looking machine...nice cast iron in the "old iron" format. Honestly, I doubt that a manual is going to give you very much information that you can't ascertain from observation and from asking here online. So don't get too distressed if you can't find one! These are not complicated machines in all honesty.

Thanks Jim, the mach. is real solid, bearings seem good but I think I'll replace them and the tires for a start.

That's not a horrible idea for a refurb, honestly, and it's a good opportunity to really get everything cleaned up before you start using it, too. Especially if you want to do the paint, etc.

Best wishes on that nice saw!

Look at that mobile base! There's a lot of steel under that machine as well. Good luck on the refurb and be sure to post pix as you go.

I wish nice machines like that would follow me home. :-) Seriously, you might find this useful:
