Just got back from the Marvin Windows plant. A day and a half of touring.
The CNC machines can do some incedible things. We walked right through the production lines as they were building the windows for a church in Millwaukee, Huge Gothic style about 20 of them. The process for making round tops was very interesting as it is a lot of custom bending, cutting, clamping. The pneaumatic clamps were very cool.
A lot of smaller machines, Delta unisaw all over the place, 12 in Dewalt miter boxes, and about a million PM shapers, and 12" disc sanders.

But the biggest suprise of all.

Dust Collection.

I bet if I would have swept the saw dust out the whole window plant, I would not have filled a kitchen trash can with it.

The weather was nice - it was about 2 degrees with a windchill in the teens below zero.

Matt,
I also went on a tour of the plant a few years ago. It was really impressive. I've used their window units on several projects and have their Clad-Casemaster series in my own home.
