Cedar tall HF

Red cedar tall vessel 12"X7 3/4" wipe on poly and buffed. I had to make a new bit holder from 3/4" round bar stock so as to reach the bottom with minimal chatter. This is the tallest piece from using the steel snake hollower. The 3/4" bar made all the difference getting this deep. Managed to keep a deep bark covered cleft in the side of the log. With that in mind and the 2 knots it looks a bit like a space alien or the remains from a bad hangover!?....Bill...

Bill, I love the look of that vase! I have some red cedar but not that large. Hard to find it without the knots, but the look is grand! And OOOH!! That wonderful smell!!
