Berea HardWoods different versions of the Sierra pen kit. Do any of you know the difference between the "Sierra Black Titanium and Platinum Ballpoint Pen" kit and the "Sierra Elegant BeautyBlack Titanium and Platinum Ballpoint Pen" kit? I know that one has a longer name than the other (and costs about $3 per kit less), but other than that the difference elludes me.

Here are links to the two kits:

Hi David; Judging by the set of bushings required (20A) and the drill bit required (27/64), my guess with respect to the price difference would be the coating of the kits.

Mike, given that the two kits use the same bushings and drill bit, I, too, would have thought that the difference was in the quality of the plating. But, the description of the two kits -- including the plating -- is almost identical. From the photos it appears the metal bands and the top of the pens are slightly different. (The more expensive pen has a gold or platinum accent at the top of the pen and the engraving on the bands appears to be a little more refined.) If these are the only differences, I'll take the cheaper pen. I like its looks more.
