This is a hickory box I made for a friend of my daughter. The tree was at her friend's parent's house, and was blown down in hurricane IKE. They were very sad that the tree was blown down, so I tried to make something for them to remember it by. It stands 5.5" by 3.5 ", finished in home brew oil. It is not buffed yet, as her friend is going to do some pyrography on it. They wanted the box before Christmas, so this is the first box I made by roughing it out and using DNA. I also lined the inside bottom. Sorry about the quality of the pictures, I just found out last night that they wanted it for the pyrography, so I did the lining which is still wet, and took some quick pictures.
